Canada’s Express Entry system witnessed renewed momentum in May 2025 after a quiet April. With four major draws, including new category-based selections, the month offered hope for skilled immigrants eyeing permanent residence (PR).

What Happened in May 2025?

May was the busiest month in recent Express Entry history. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted four draws, issuing a total of 2,511 Invitations to Apply (ITAs)—a significant jump from April’s 1,246.
