For all the international students out there, here is some good news that you would love to know!

Canada is slowly yet efficiently recovering from the pandemic situation. The government is lifting the COVID-driven restrictions and we can envision a ray of hope that is coming for international students.

It seems that the Canadian government has taken the first step towards inviting the international students to Canada for September intake.

This ray of hope comes from the recent update shared by CIC News which states that Patty Hajdu, Minister of Health and Marco Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship recently issued a letter to all Designated Learning Institutions and the Provincial Education Ministry seeking their opinion on allowing international students to come to Canada for the September intake.

The letter invited the Designated Learning Institutions and the Provincial Education Ministry to share a strategic plan of action to allow international students to come to Canada, without having any negative impact on the health and safety of the Canadian citizens.

This plan would include how the international students will ensure quarantine or self-isolation for 15 days, what will be the proportion of online and offline classes, and how do they plan to accommodate the students in classes while taking all precautionary measures.

The Canadian Government has also reduced the travel restrictions for international students to a great extent, which includes:

These students can travel to Canada by ensuring that they have a genuine reason for coming to Canada, their course demands a practical learning experience, and they have a well-articulated quarantine or self – isolation plan for the first 15 days after arriving.

International students play a pivotal role in the Canadian Education System and the economic growth and development of the country as a whole. So, the Canadian Government is leaving no stone unturned to allow international students to resume their studies in Canada, while the health and safety of Canadian citizens continues to be their utmost priority.
